Content
This study aims to evaluate the cost-utility of the routine offers of HIV counseling and testing in community hospitals compared with the current practice. It analyses this by using the social perspective and the payer prospective. The model-based economic evaluation was use to analyze this. Data about the quality of life of HIV infected patients and the cost due to HIV infection was collected from patients in 16 community hospitals. It’s in the process of reviewing related literature to constructed a Markov model to estimate the utility costs (Baht per quality-adjusted life-year gained).
