Phornnaphat is a licensed pharmacist with a diverse academic background, holding a bachelor\'s degree in pharmacy from Silpakorn University and a master’s degree in molecular biology from Nagoya University (MEXT Scholarship). With this interdisciplinary training, she specializes in applying data and evidence to inform health policy.

Her research focuses on infectious diseases—such as HPV, dengue, and COVID-19—using dynamic transmission models and economic evaluations to guide vaccine policy. At HITAP, she collaborates with global partners to translate research into actionable public health strategies.

She has actively contributed to public health initiatives with a hands-on and collaborative approach. Her experience includes helping organize capacity-building workshops on infectious disease modeling for Thai academics and government sectors, co-facilitating training sessions on economic evaluation, and supporting the coordination of major international conferences as part of the local organizing committee.

Recognized for her commitment to evidence-based policy and regional capacity building, Phornnaphat was awarded the NUS ASEAN Graduate Scholarship and will begin her PhD in Public Health at the National University of Singapore in 2025. Her research will explore how changes in sexual behavior and demographic trends influence disease dynamics through mathematical modeling.
