Biography
As a Coordinator at the International Unit of the Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program (HITAP), Piyaphat supports regional and global initiatives that strengthen health systems through evidence-informed policymaking. With a background in liberal arts and professional experience across the humanitarian, public, and private sectors, Piyaphat brings a multidisciplinary approach to her work in global health and development.
Before joining HITAP, Piyaphat worked as a Casework Officer at the Resettlement Support Center under the International Rescue Committee (IRC), where she managed complex refugee caseloads and coordinated high-stakes missions, including the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services circuit rides. This experience gave her first-hand exposure to the intersection of health, human rights, and policy—particularly the health challenges faced by displaced and vulnerable populations. It continues to shape Piyaphat\'s perspective on the importance of equity and access in health systems.
Piyaphat specializes in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and navigating diverse, multicultural environments. Her ability to manage operational details while supporting long-term goals has been recognized through performance evaluations and leadership roles. At HITAP, Piyaphat contributes to international collaborations, capacity-building efforts, and the dissemination of health technology assessment (HTA) knowledge that informs policy decisions.
