Collaboration

Our primary objective is to ensure that the Thai population can have, access and utilize appropriate health technologies. Collaborating with networks and organizations with aligned missions, both nationally and internationally, enables us to maximize the impact of our work—not only for Thailand but also for the global community.

Working Group

HITAP’s Working Group comprises experts from diverse fields who play a key role in supporting health technology assessments and public policy development. In collaboration with researchers, health economists, medical professionals, and policymakers, the group focuses on generating evidence to enable effective and equitable health decision-making.

Beyond research activities, HITAP’s Working Group plays a pivotal role in developing guidelines and standards for health technology assessment at both national and international levels. Through knowledge exchange, training, and policy advisory services to government agencies and relevant organizations, the group helps enhance the quality of health resource management.

With a mission to promote evidence-informed policymaking, HITAP’s Working Group serves as a critical mechanism for advancing a sustainable health system that meets public needs while reducing disparities in access to high-quality, cost-effective healthcare.

Development of Benefit Packages under the Universal Health Coverage Scheme

The Universal Coverage Benefit Package (UCBP) project was established to systematically develop health benefit packages that are transparent, evidence-based, and informed by stakeholder input across the health system. The initiative ensures that proposed benefit topics undergo rigorous criteria and procedures before being formally adopted as healthcare entitlements for the public.

Development of the National List of Essential Medicines and Evidence-Based Policy

Health is a fundamental human right, and medicines play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of treatment, prevention, and health problem management. The development of national pharmaceutical policies involves setting clear objectives and fostering collaboration among the public, private, and civil sectors, ensuring the continuous advancement of the medicine system in response to changing contexts and emerging health challenges.
