HITAP has expertise in health technology assessment (HTA) and contributes to policy development in Thailand and internationally. We are committed to promoting the use of scientific evidence to inform health decisions at every level of society.
HITAP receives primary funding from government agencies and non-profit organizations, both domestic and international, whose objectives align with HITAP’s core mission.
International Network Partners
HITAP collaborates with international organizations that provide both funding and technical expertise, including the World Health Organization (WHO), World Bank, UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. These partnerships support research and policy development at the global level.
HITAP is also part of international health research networks such as HTAsiaLink and the International Decision Support Initiative (iDSI), which facilitate knowledge exchange and advance health technology assessment practices to inform policy decisions.
These international collaborations enable HITAP to set standards for HTA, share expertise globally, and promote sustainable health systems worldwide.
Domestic Network Partners
HITAP receives support from government agencies, including the Ministry of Public Health, the National Health Security Office (NHSO), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which use assessment results to inform public health policy. It also collaborates with research institutes, universities, and the Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI) to advance academic work in health technology.
The network extends to private sector and civil society organizations, providing data, technology, and innovation support, as well as community networks that help ensure policies reflect societal needs.
Collaboration across these sectors enables HITAP to conduct effective health technology assessments and promote a sustainable, accessible healthcare system for all.
