Since its inception, health technology assessment (HTA) has assisted governments across the world through evidence-informed health resources allocation and it all begins at the Office of Technology Assessment (OTA), United States Congress led by Dr. David Banta.
This video is a tribute to Dr. David Banta, the pioneer of HTA, who accomplished remarkable milestones throughout his career since he was asked to pioneer the program to assess health policies and practices by Senator Edward Kennedy in 1983, and the works executed by this program were highly influential in the early development of HTA worldwide.
