Dr. Kanlaya Teerawattananon is a medical doctor and ophthalmologist by training. She had worked in rural hospitals in the northern and northeastern parts of Thailand for more than 10 years before moving to a suburban hospital in Samut Prakan in 2007. In addition to her medical role, she has intense interest in health system and policy research. She has constantly conducted system and policy research and published in leading academic journals in Thailand and International level. She also graduated bachelor degree in laws from an open university and has worked as part-time researcher in Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program (HITAP) since 2009.
